Athletes & training
HYROX, CrossFit, marathon, combat sports. Plenty of athletes build an hour in the chamber into their recovery week, alongside sleep, food and proper rest days.
Breathe in oxygen · Breathe out the noise
Sixty-minute sessions at 1.5 ATA in our chamber at Maldiva Aesthetics on Constance Street. For athletes, people in aftercare following a procedure, and anyone who wants an hour of calm.
Hyperbaric, in plain English
Inside the chamber you breathe oxygen through a mask while the air pressure is raised to 1.5 times normal atmospheric pressure (1.5 ATA). At that pressure, more oxygen dissolves into your blood plasma than it would at normal pressure.
One session lasts sixty minutes. Most clients book a course of five to ten. No hype, no stack-bro language: just oxygen, pressure, and time.
HBOT isn’t a cure, and we don’t treat medical conditions. We’ll always tell you plainly what a session involves, and if you have a health condition we’ll ask you to check with your GP first.
Training for a race, recovering from a procedure, or just after an hour to yourself: the session is the same. Sixty minutes, 1.5 ATA, one chamber.
HYROX, CrossFit, marathon, combat sports. Plenty of athletes build an hour in the chamber into their recovery week, alongside sleep, food and proper rest days.
Had surgery or a cosmetic procedure? Talk to your surgeon first. With their approval, some clients add sessions to their aftercare. We’ll ask about your procedure before we book you in.
No phone, no inbox, no noise. Many regulars use their session as a calm, screen-free hour in the week. Bring a book or a podcast, or just close your eyes.
What to expect
You sit comfortably inside the chamber. There’s nothing to do but relax: bring a book, a podcast, or just close your eyes.
The pressure rises gently to 1.5 ATA. You’ll feel it in your ears, much like a plane coming in to land. Swallowing or yawning usually clears it, and we’ll talk you through it.
You breathe oxygen through a mask for the session. Under pressure, more of it dissolves into your blood plasma.
Pressure is brought slowly back to normal before you step out. Most people tell us they leave feeling calm.
Before your first visit, have a look at who HBOT isn’t suitable for and common questions.
